You are competent, you are committed, and yet something is missing. Maybe it has been missing for a while.
Thriving at Work is a set of live instructor-led virtual courses designed for leaders ready to change that, grounded in research and built around the honest realities of working in organizations that are harder than anyone admits. What makes it different is how the learning happens. Rather than working through scenarios that feel uncomfortably close to your current situation, Dr. Sims uses sailing as the backdrop for case studies and group work. You do not need to know anything about sailing. You might learn a little by accident. More importantly, the distance from your daily environment creates the space to think about it more clearly.

This course gives you the science and structure behind lasting change. You will define what workplace happiness means for you, identify the factors that influence it, and develop practical strategies to build resilience, cultivate a growth mindset, and approach your work with more intention. Not positive thinking. Research-based tools that hold up in difficult environments.

Helping Your Team Work Better Together
Most team problems are not skill problems. They are safety problems. When people do not feel safe to speak up, take risks, or admit mistakes, performance suffers in ways that are hard to diagnose and easy to misattribute. This course is grounded in the science of psychological safety and designed to help you understand your role in shaping your team’s culture, improve communication, encourage inclusion, and build an environment where people can do their best work.
